Tomorrow Campaign

UJA Federation’s Tomorrow Campaign continues to reshape the tapestry of our Jewish community. It is making enormous strides, raising funds to build the infrastructure for our growing community across the GTA. From downtown Toronto to the City of Vaughan, the impact of the Tomorrow Campaign is felt throughout our city.

Sherman Campus Phase 2

On March 20, 2015, UJA Federation’s Board of Directors approved the decision to move forward with the fundraising efforts for Sherman Campus Phase 2. The redevelopment of Sherman Campus will improve the lives of countless individuals and families with the construction of a new 105,000 square foot building and recreational outdoor spaces. Sherman Campus development is part of UJA Federation’s Tomorrow Campaign, an initiative founded to support the needs of our growing and diverse community by raising funds to build infrastructure for a revitalized Jewish Toronto.

When Sherman Campus Phase 2 is completed, community members of all ages and backgrounds will benefit from this state-of-the-art jewel which will include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a double gymnasium, an indoor running track, outdoor sports fields, a children’s splash pad, and much more.

Thanks to the generosity and commitment of so many of our community’s remarkable philanthropists, we are pleased to report that there is less than $8 million left to raise to achieve the Sherman Campus Phase 2 fundraising goal. We are confident that the tremendous momentum we have achieved will continue in the months leading up to the groundbreaking which is planned for late 2017.

“It seems like just yesterday that the idea of a new state-of-the-art community centre on Sherman Campus was nothing more than a dream,” says Fred Waks, Chair of the Sherman Campus Campaign. “Today, as we approach the finish line in terms of fundraising for the redevelopment of Sherman Campus, I am so excited and proud to say that the dream is near fruition. The vision, generosity and compassion of our community’s philanthropists never cease to amaze me and, thanks to them, Jewish Toronto will soon boast a fully developed Sherman Campus that will be a beacon to families from across the Greater Toronto Area who are seeking the finest in cultural, educational, fitness and wellness amenities.”
